GETTING STARTED
From purchase to automatic updates
- Create your free CLG website account. Complete website signup, verify your email, then purchase a year of software access separately through Square.
- Activate the Windows app. Enter the same registered email and the key shown in your software account.
- Select your Cloudflare records. Use a token scoped to the domains and DNS permissions you need.
- Choose how it runs. Monitor while signed in or install the background service for unattended operation.
Designed for changing public IPs
Use it for a home lab, remote access hostname, or a server on a connection with a changing public IP. The app checks regularly and updates selected records when their address differs.
Your connection still needs to support the service you want to reach. Dynamic DNS does not itself provide port forwarding or remove carrier-grade NAT.
One account for your software
Your CLG Performance account holds your registration keys, paid expiration, receipts, and activated computers. A renewed annual key is delivered automatically to an already activated installation.

Before you get started
Does the computer need someone signed in?
No. The optional Windows service checks and updates selected records at startup and while the computer is running, even without an interactive Windows session.
What happens when I cancel?
Canceling automatic renewal stops future renewal billing. Software access continues until the end of the paid annual period. If you do not renew, the app pauses DNS updates.
Do I need to enter a new key every year?
Your registration key changes with each paid year. An already activated computer retrieves its replacement automatically after a confirmed renewal. Your account also shows the new key for activation or reinstalling.
What if CLG’s license server is briefly unreachable?
A previously activated and paid installation may continue using its last signed authorization for up to 24 hours, never beyond the paid expiration. First activation requires an internet connection.
Where does my Cloudflare API token go?
The token is stored using Windows data protection on your computer and used to access Cloudflare. Your software licensing account does not need that token.
How do software updates work?
The app checks clgperformance.com for official releases. When a newer version is available, it shows the release notes and lets you download and install it. The download is checked against signed release information.
Which Windows versions can run it?
The application targets Windows with .NET Framework 4.8. Check the installer release notes for the Windows versions validated for that release before buying or installing.
