Dealer/Consumer has educated and researched the pros and cons or modifying their vehicle with high performance parts such as superchargers/Turbocharger and aftermarket parts. Customer understands that modifying their car bares certain risks including engine failure and both parties understand and agree to hold CLG Performance harmless of liability from installation and use of this product and or vehicle tune. We build to specifications of the manufacturer and get parts rated for above the power the vehicle can make. All tuning done on the vehicle will have safety measures and will be datalogged and saved but does not guarantee the parts will not fail, hang up or bind up on their own. That includes melting of pistons, bearing failures. Things do happen out of our control. Materials are not 100% guaranteed. CLG Performance will not be held liable for customer negligence such as turning up boost, modifications, or following a strict requirement of a break in period, or use of alternative fuels such as methanol, alcohol or incorrect fuel grade. Customer understands this and will be texted, emailed if provided us an email address,  and invoiced this disclaimer and will comply to this as it will void any warranty on parts or labor and CLG Performance will not be held responsible if not followed. If vehicle is returned damaged, we will investigate the cause of failure, also pull data from the ecu freeze frame that captured the fault as it will have things like engine temperature, throttle position, speed, accelerometer data, boost pressures, fuel data, knock data and other key factors for investigation. With Vehicles that are modified beyond stock, its the owners responsibility to know how to read Wideband and other gauges and know how to adjust the vehicle's boost and pay attention to those gauges if they drive a vehicle hard. The customer understands that they cant get into a fresh build and start racing or driving hard without proper breakin time. Dyno testing with the Tuner (person) is required before customer pick up of the vehicle. Customer most have full coverage insurance (not liability) before putting vehicle on a dyno for testing. Vehicle must have 93 or higher octane fuel or fuel thats required for that build and fuel will be tested before put on dyno as well. Dyno shops charge their own rates as well so the customer has to schedule things with the dyno shop as well as the tuner and get all the cost together together so they know general cost per hour. Some dyno shops require you to use their employee's to tune your vehicle as well and CLG Performance will comply to that dyno shops policies in that matter and will discuss methods of the tuning together if we notice issues so we know the best method to go to modifying a tune. Safely is implemented by the dyno shop as well as CLG Performance so if anything leaks, binds, or does anything its not surposed to do, the dyno session is over until repairs are made at the customer's expense.

Service & Pricing Information

Electrical / Electronics Repair (Labor) – Starting at $200 and Up, depending on the module.
Pricing may be negotiated based on module type and service required. In some cases, replacing and programming a new module (typically ranging from $250–$380 new) may be more cost-effective than repairing. If that applies, we’ll let you know.

Core Discounts – We offer discounts when the old part (core) is returned. Generally is $5 to $20 off on your invoice depending on the module type and If cores are needed. If we have to outside buy a module since we do not carry modules in stock, you are subjected to their return core policy if they have one. You will be notified of this if we have to get a replacement module for you.

Programming Modules – Starting at $200 and up, depending on the module and the process we have to take to program it.
To clone security information, both the original and new modules are required. In most cases cloning eliminates the need for a locksmith to reprogram your vehicle keys. In some rare cases the keys may have to be sync back to the car via locksmith.

Some modules require BDM cloning, a more advanced process that involves opening the module. Pricing for BDM programming starts around $250 since the module must be opened for proper cloning.

Everything will be listed on your invoice including payments and remaining balance and can be viewed here

Electronics Repair Service:

Need PCM, ECU, DME, TCU and or Vehicle Electronics Repaired?

Contact me here and describe the issues you are having and if you had any check engine codes prior to removal or battery disconnection. I will try to determine if it is a sensor related issue, a SKIM issue/Key FOB, computer or dashboard issue, and wiring via email or call and ill recommend a few things that may help. The issues with the PCM could take some time to resolve properly as I have seen many being related to just sensor issues more than computer related. If you know for sure that the computer is gone I may have you mail it to me so that I can see if it can be repaired or if it needs to be replaced in general. Before mailing out your Module be sure to fill out the repair form listed in the link buttons at the top of the page.

ECU/TCU Cloning and Data Retention Policy

At CLG Performance, my goal is to ensure every customer receives complete transparency and technical accuracy throughout the repair and cloning process. I provide detailed information regarding your specific module to help you make informed decisions and to ensure the best possible results.

Data Cloning and Tune Preservation

Many customers express concerns about the possibility of losing custom tunes during ECU or TCU or other Module cloning. In most cases, I can perform a complete data clone from the original unit to the replacement, ensuring that the tune and all calibration data remain intact.

Data loss will only occur if the memory IC or CPU within the module is physically damaged or corrupted. When the internal components are intact, the cloned module will function identically to the original.

Hard-Coded Serial Numbers

Certain ECUs and Modules contain hard-coded serial numbers that cannot be modified. In these situations, your tune will still be transferred 100%, but your tuning device may remain locked to the original serial number. This could require the purchase of new tuning credits if you plan to make additional modifications in the future.

Data Recovery from Damaged Units

Even when an ECU/Module is physically compromised—such as from burned circuitry, corroded traces, or damaged chip legs caused by leaking capacitors—it may still be possible to recover the data. Before proceeding, please contact me to discuss recovery feasibility for your specific unit.

Module Handling and Submission Requirements

  1. For best results, do not open or attempt to disassemble the module before sending it in. I frequently receive ECUs and Modules that have been pried open with tools, resulting in additional internal damage and significantly higher repair costs.

  2. Upon receiving your ECU/Module, I will document its condition with photographs, including whether it was previously opened. These details, along with any internal findings, will be included on your invoice.

  3. If your submission form indicates that the ECU was not opened but it arrives with visible tampering or internal damage, I may either reject the job or contact you to discuss the situation further.

Photo Submission Requirement

To ensure accurate identification and documentation, please provide clear photographs of the following before shipping your module:

  • The ECU/Module label (showing part numbers and identifiers)
  • The connector side
  • The entire ECU/Module exterior

Providing these images helps confirm compatibility and streamlines the service process.
